Our accessibility target for hourlyvps.com, what we have done to meet it, the limits we know about, and how to tell us about a barrier.

Our target
We aim for hourlyvps.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We treat accessibility as part of how each page is built, not as a layer added afterward.
Where we are
We believe this website partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA: most of it meets the standard, and the exceptions we know about are listed below. This is our own assessment. No independent audit has been done yet.
What we have done
- Pages use real headings, lists, tables and form labels, so screen readers can move around them.
- Everything works with a keyboard and shows a visible focus outline. A “Skip to content” link starts every page.
- Text and controls meet AA contrast in both the light and the dark theme.
- Color is never the only signal: billing modes, errors and highlights also carry text or an icon.
- Animations follow your system’s reduced-motion setting.
- The price calculator, the price switch in plan tables and the contact form work without JavaScript.
- Text reflows on small screens and when you zoom in. Wide data tables scroll inside their own box instead of the whole page.
- Form errors are written out next to the field, linked from a summary at the top of the form, and announced to screen readers.
- The contact form does not ask you to solve a visual puzzle.
Known limitations
- Customer portal. portal.hourlyvps.com runs on third-party billing software. We configure it, but we do not control all of its markup, and we have not yet confirmed that it meets WCAG 2.2 AA. If something in the portal blocks you, email [email protected] and we will help you complete the task another way.
- Payment pages. Card and cryptocurrency payments are completed on our payment processors’ pages, which follow their own accessibility standards.
- Data downloads. The CSV and JSON files offered with our comparison of hourly VPS providers are raw data for spreadsheets and code, not formatted documents. The same data is shown on the page as a table.
- Price calculator. The duration slider on our pricing page moves in steps, hours first, then days, then months, so long durations take several key presses. The preset buttons and the exact-duration fields are quicker.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site is hard or impossible for you to use, email [email protected] with “Accessibility” in the subject, or use the contact form and choose the Accessibility topic. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, the browser and assistive technology you use. We answer these messages like support requests, and where we cannot fix a problem quickly, we give you the information or the service another way.
How we test
We check pages with automated tools, with the keyboard alone, at small screen widths, at high zoom, and in both color themes. We repeat these checks when a page template changes.
Technical details
The site is built with HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript. Conformance relies on HTML and CSS; JavaScript only improves some interactions, such as updating the price calculator as you drag it.
