9 plans · 2 families · Istanbul · New York soon
Each plan has one metered price: billed by the hour, and never more than its monthly price in a billing period. All of them are on this page, followed by the rules that decide what you pay.
The smallest plan, Quartz Q1
Per hour
$0.01/hour
Per day (24 hours)
$0.24/day
Monthly cap
$5.00/month max
One product, three views of its price. Before tax.
Two families on the same hardware. Switch the table to read each price per hour, per day of 24 hours or as the monthly cap; it is the same metered server either way, and each plan name opens its own page.
Shared vCPU, for most workloads
vCPU time is shared with other servers on the same host, which keeps the price down. A good fit for web apps, bots, staging copies, CI jobs and anything that spends most of its time waiting on the network or the disk.
Dedicated (pinned) vCPU, for sustained CPU work
Each vCPU is pinned and reserved for your server instead of shared. Choose it for work that keeps the processor busy for hours at a stretch: compiles, encodes, simulations, game servers with many players.

The meter counts hours. In a billing period, once the charges for a server reach its monthly price, they stop: on Quartz Q4 that happens after 500 hours (20 days 20 hours), and the rest of that billing period is free. A billing period is one month from your order date, not the calendar month, and the cap starts again in each one. Shorter stretches pay only their hours; there is nothing to prepay, switch or refund.
Every rule that affects the bill, word for word. Credit, payment and tax follow in the next section.
Every server is billed by the hour: the plan’s hourly rate is deducted from the server’s prepaid balance for every hour it exists, powered on or off, until you delete it. Details: Hourly billing
Billing is by the hour: every hour a server exists is charged at the plan’s hourly rate. The price tapes and cost tables on this site count every started hour as a full hour, so they show the most a duration can cost; the cost calculator charges a partial hour to the nearest cent, as the bill does.
Every plan is capped at 500 hours per billing period: the monthly price is 500 times the hourly rate, and after 500 billed hours (about 20.8 days) the rest of the period is free, so a server left on all month pays exactly the monthly price and never more. A billing period is one month from your order date, not the calendar month, and the cap resets every period.
Charges are deducted in whole cents: a full hour costs exactly the hourly rate, and a partial first or last hour is rounded to the nearest cent, never more than a full hour.
There is no separate daily plan: renting by the day is hourly billing, so one day costs 24 times the hourly rate and one week 168 times, and the monthly cap still applies. Details: By the day
There is no prepaid monthly plan: leave a server on and its charges stop at the monthly price in each billing period (after 500 hours, about 20.8 days), with no contract and no annual term. Details: By the month
Each plan is one product, so there is no billing mode to pick or switch: the same server is billed by the hour whether you keep it for an hour, a day or all month, and the monthly cap applies by itself.
A stopped server is still billed, because its vCPU, memory, disk and IP addresses stay reserved for you; only deleting the server stops billing.
Usage is metered, so there are no refunds to claim: you pay only for the hours a server exists, never more than the monthly price in a billing period. Account credit is not paid out to your card or crypto wallet unless the law requires it. Details: Refunds
Every server comes with one dedicated IPv4 address and IPv6, included in the plan price. Details: IP addresses
Istanbul plans include the monthly traffic allowance listed for each plan, prorated for a server that exists for part of a billing period.
Servers are paid from prepaid credit. Ordering one takes an initial credit, which is not a fee: it becomes that server’s prepaid balance, and its hours are deducted from it every hour.
Initial credit
Ordering a server takes an initial credit of $5 ($9 for Chrono C32, $16 for Chrono C64). It is prepaid credit, not a fee: the server’s hourly usage is deducted from it, and when it runs out you top up.
Low balance
When a server’s balance is down to about 24 hours of usage, you get a top-up invoice; at zero balance the server is suspended, and a suspended server is deleted 7 days later.
Account credit
Your account runs on prepaid credit, with a minimum top-up of $5.
Payment methods
You can pay and top up your credit by card or cryptocurrency.

Every figure in these answers is calculated from the current price list.
At most $5.00/month for Quartz Q1 up to $240.00/month for Chrono C64, before tax: the monthly price is a cap, and a server that exists for part of a billing period pays only its hours. Quartz Q4, the default plan in the tape calculator on this page, is $15.00/month. The monthly VPS page adds starting plans for always-on workloads and a line-by-line monthly bill.
Quartz plans share vCPU time with other servers on the host, which keeps them inexpensive and suits most workloads. Chrono plans pin each vCPU to your server, for work that keeps the processor busy for hours. The network port differs: 1 Gbps on Quartz, 25 Gbps on Chrono.
No. Ordering a server takes an initial credit ($5 for Quartz Q1 to Chrono C16, $9 for Chrono C32 and $16 for Chrono C64), and all of it is prepaid credit that pays for that server’s hours. Nothing is kept as a fee; the checkout may still show it under a “setup” label.
$0.03 on Quartz Q4. The first hour costs $0.03. The extra minute is a partial hour, charged for the time used and rounded to the nearest cent: a sixtieth of $0.03 rounds to $0.00. The tape above counts whole hours, so it shows $0.06 for 2 hours, the most such a job can cost. The rounding rule is in the list above.
Quartz Q4 (2 vCPU · 4 GB RAM · 80 GB NVMe) has room for most web apps, staging copies and test environments. Go smaller for a bot, a VPN endpoint or a static site; choose a Chrono plan when the CPU will stay busy for hours.
Yes. The tape calculator on this page prices any duration from one hour to 3 months with the same rules as the bill, monthly cap included.
No. Each plan is one metered server. The price per hour is what it bills, a day is 24 of those hours, and the monthly price is the most it can cost in a billing period. The vCPU, memory, NVMe disk, addresses, traffic terms and DDoS mitigation are the same however long it runs.
